Overview

Born in Hartsville, South Carolina, Lynn Murray received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Affairs and History from Columbia College in 1983.

Lynn joined McNair Law Firm, P.A. as a lobbyist consultant in 1989. Prior to joining the firm, she was actively involved in numerous political campaigns across the state, including managing a South Carolina Congressional race in 1988. She later became the Director of Governmental Relations at Chernoff/Silver and Associates, a local public relations and advertising agency. Lynn has authored and implemented grassroots plans for major corporations to engage employees in the political process. Additionally, she drafts legislation and has extensive knowledge of the legislative rules and Appropriations process.

Lynn is actively involved in her neighborhood association and serves as President on her children's middle school Foundation Board.  She is also a member of the Miss South Carolina Foundation Board and an education director for Palmetto Girls State.  Lynn also serves on the Columbia College Board of Visitors and the Steering Committee for the Nickelodeon Renovation Project.  Lynn is a member of the 2010 Riley Diversity Leaders Initiative Leadership Program.

Lynn’s clients include the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, American Family Life Assurance Company, American General, Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, Beaufort County Council, Community Financial Services of America, Connections Academy, DIAGEO North America, Genentech,  Hilton Head/Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association, International Paper, JM Family, National Guard Association of South Carolina, National Kitchen and Bath Association, Perdue, Protective Life, the South Carolina Association of Non-Profit Homes for the Aging, the South Carolina Society of Ophthalmologists, Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc., UniTech, Uniway and VALIC.

Lynn brings many years of lobbying and public relations experience to McNair Law Firm, P.A. In 2006, Lynn was elected Vice President of THE ADVOCACY GROUP (TAG), which was established in 1992 as the first international public affairs and government relations corporation to provide a diverse array of professional advocacy services throughout the WORLD. Lynn assumed the Presidency of this organization in 2007. In 2008, she assumed the position of Chairwoman of the Board.
